Olive Yonge BScN, PhD, R Psych

Hello! Allow me to introduce myself:

I am a former university professor and nurse and currently a Registered Psychologist. In 2012 I took the coaching program at Erickson College in Vancouver. The focus of the program was on being solution focused.

On a personal note, I am an avid walker, sing in a choir , write creative non fiction and enjoy cooking and baking. Mostly I enjoy being with people.

Currently I am reading and taking course in the following areas: intergenerational trauma and somatic therapy.

Having been a university professor for many years, I also embrace knowledge translation and am grounded in evidence-informed research. I have applied these beliefs in co-authoring a textbook on communication (the second edition will be published in 2024) and developing a course on Loneliness Matters (2021) for undergraduate students. My goal is to provide high quality counseling and coaching based on evidence and not on trendy fashions.
