Counselling
Effective therapy involves a partnership. As a therapist, I listen deeply to what a person is saying and not saying, and observe body language and then question with sensitivity and kindness. I ask them to look at themselves in the reflection of the lake and first ask them what they see and then tell them what I see.
Therapy works when a person has strong negative emotions that are blocking them from living the best life they can. Usually a person knows the trigger for their strong emotions. Two of the current triggers are the pandemic and climate change and many people are feeling traumatized, lost, lonely, depressed and anxious. Most people who choose to have therapy must invest time depending on their situation - about six to twelve sessions.
